Alice Susong will tell stories of Life With Ranger Dunbar, June 21, 2013
Storyteller will present an Adventure Talk at The Red Lion Hotel, in Port Angeles
Alice Suson of the Story People of Clallam County will present storytelling at this event, from 6:00 to 7:00 Friday evening, June 21st, 2013.
Her stories of Life With Ranger Dunbar come from the years that her husband was a National Park ranger, primarily in Yellowstone N.P.
The Red Lion Hotel Port Angeles recently launched a Basecamp Adventure Talk series to showcase the many outdoor activities and locations that can be explored on the Olympic Peninsula throughout the summer. The talks will take place each Friday evening at the hotel from 6-7 p.m. They are free and open to the public, and light hors d’oeuvres are included. Happy hour Basecamp drink specials will also be offered.
“The objective of these talks is to help more people learn about exploring the far Northwest part of our country. They’ll be informative but also a lot of fun,” said Hannah Hooper, General Manager of the Red Lion Hotel Port Angeles. “We also hope to remind people about the central location of our Port Angeles property—it truly is a fantastic basecamp for adventure on the Olympic Peninsula.”
The talks will touch on many of the various adventure options available to travelers visiting the peninsula. Speakers will include ecologists, tour guides, storytellers, film makers, historians, fishermen and mountaineers.
