Anne Rutherford — Storytelling Workshop
A workshop for new and experienced storytellers
“Jump-start your stories”
Learn quick, fun ways to cut to the heart of a story’s action and craft a hook that grabs listeners from the outset and keeps them with you to the end. Master storyteller Anne Rutherford leads this fast-paced, hands-on workshop where you can work with stories already in your repertoire or samples provided. Effective for new and seasoned storytellers and writers.
The Storyteller:
Anne is a gifted storyteller who performs and leads workshops throughout the Pacific Northwest and was a featured teller at the 2013 Port Angeles Forest Storytelling Festival. She is a teaching artist in the schools with Young Audiences of Oregon and Saturday Academy. She tells smart, genuinely fun stories to audiences of all ages. Her specialties are original and vintage stories of humor and adventure, trickster tales, supernatural tales and Northwest folklore. A word of caution . . . Anne is a two-time, 1st place winner of Seattle’s NW Folklife Festival’s Liar’s Contest so don’t believe everything she tells you!
