Carol Turner featured Wed. June 5, 2024
Carol will be telling the story of “The Egg and I,” from her new book, “True Tales of the Olympic Peninsula.” Historical photos included! Click on the video at the bottom of this post to hear a little bit about the story.
Carol Turner has a degree in English from Sonoma State University and an MFA in creative writing from Bennington College. She developed a passion for the stories of history after her mother urged her to dig up the story of her great uncle Charlie. Carol discovered that he was killed in a shootout in Telluride, CO. She went on to write a history column for a local newspaper, and then to write Scoundrels of the Salish Sea, Forgotten Heroes and Villains of Sand Creek, The Trouble with Heather Holloway, True Tales of the Olympic Peninsula, and other books. Her favorite historical sources are old newspapers. She lives in Port Angeles, Washington, with two spoiled greyhounds. Although she is a writer, rest assured, she will be telling her story, not reading.
