Story Swap features Colleen Squier telling folktales
Colleen’s folktales will take you to places and times where you have never been, yet you will find them strangely familiar! Folktales take us places in time and space where we have never been. Colleen says, “Stories tell us who we were, who we are and who we will be.”
Colleen has been telling stories as long as she has been talking. About 6 years ago she decided she wanted to learn to “really tell stories” and took a class from Cherie Trebon. Since then she has shared stories at church, parties, and bookstores. She appeared at Northwest Folklife for three years, and treasures her genuine recycled trophy for placing 3rd in the Liars Contest! Originally from Seattle, she served on the board of the Seattle Storytellers guild for two years. Colleen now lives in Sequim and is a member of The Story People of Clallam County.
