Featured tellers for the 19th Forest Storytelling Festival have been chosen!
The 19th Forest Storytelling Festival, Oct. 18th – 20th, 2013
We have an outstanding lineup of featured tellers for this year’s festival! We are excited to welcome back the hilarious Andy Offutt Irwin (http://andyirwin.com) who was a big hit in 2009 when he was here. Andy’s \ heart-filled stories are told in a style that is equal parts mischievous schoolboy and Marx Brothers, peppered with a touch of the Southern balladeer.
We will also feature:
Mary Hamilton in a return to our festival, who brings personal and traditional Appalachian stories;
Gene Tagaban, a Tlingit native storyteller and actor with twenty years experience as a performing artist, motivational speaker, trainer, healer, and motivator;
Meg Philip, an Australian of Celtic heritage who uses her storytelling to foster compassion; and
Anne Rutherford, from Portland, OR, who tells original and vintage stories of humor and adventure, trickster tales, supernatural tales and Northwest folklore.
