January 15, 2019 Story Swap — Trolls, Aunt Lillian
Bill Thomas will explore the world of bridge trolls, and Colleen Squier will tell “possibly true stories of my fabulous Aunt Lillian”. Thomas and Squier will be the featured tellers at the free Story Swap, Tuesday, January 15 at 7 p.m. in the Carver room of the Port Angeles Library, 2210 S. Peabody St.
Thomas is a former Mayor of Sequim, a serial entrepreneur and outrageous storyteller from early childhood. He will give us a peek into the private world of trolls.
Squier is originally from Seattle, and served on the board of the Seattle Storytellers guild for two years. Her family says that she has been telling stories as long as she has been talking. About ten years ago, she decided that she wanted to learn to “really” tell stories and took a class from Cherie Trebon at North Seattle College. Since then she has shared stories at church, parties, and bookstore story times. She appeared at Northwest Folklife Festival for three years, and treasures her genuine recycled trophy for placing 3rd in the Liars Contest!
After a short refreshment break, there is an open mic session for anyone to step up and share a short tale.
