Wherever Norm goes, his enthusiasm for telling stories lights people up.
Norm specializes in folktales he spices to make unique. His personal stories reflect his Northwest roots. Norm often brings music to his stories, accompanying himself on guitar, ukulele, banjo, mandolin or mouth harp! Norm engages audiences immediately, and his expertise as a storyteller and teacher have helped him create successful storytelling clubs for kids and workshops for adults.
Norm is also an active leader in northwest storytelling. He is a past board member and President of the Seattle Storyteller’s Guild. He is the current Washington State Liaison for the National Storytelling Network and festival manager of the Powellswood Storytelling Festival in Federal Way, WA this summer. Noted storytelling projects include his narrating for the Seattle Symphony, being a featured teller at the 1st Annual PowellsWood Storytelling Festival, and performing at the American Library Association conference in Anaheim last summer.
