March 20, 2018 Stories of Ships, Shipwrecks, and Fish
Pat Ferris, Featured Teller
Spend a spring evening with stories about ships, shipwrecks and fish at our monthly Story Swap, Tuesday, March 20 at 7 p.m. in the Port Angeles Library, 2210 S. Peabody St.
Pat Ferris is the featured teller for the evening. Now a Port Angeles resident, she is a retired librarian and active story teller. Ferris grew up in Ohio listening to her father tell exciting stories.
When Pat became a librarian she tried her voice as a storyteller. In retirement, she tells fairy tales and folk tales with a smattering of personal stories. She recently won the Story Slam at Olympic Theater Arts in Sequim with a personal story about an encounter with a rapacious turkey vulture.
Open Mic
The Story Swap program is geared toward adults and teens. Newcomers are always welcome to attend. After the refreshment break, there is time for anyone to step up and share a short tale.
