Tim Wheeler — Life on a Dungeness Dairy Farm
Tim Wheeler shares stories of growing up near Sequim
Tim Wheeler was eight years old in 1948 when he and his family moved onto a dairy farm near Sequim. Doing chores on the family farm forms the basis of the early chapters of his memoir. He has told these stories to his children, friends and neighbors many times. This is the first time he has told them to a larger audience, his “baptism under fire” as a storyteller.
Tim will tell “Bonnie & Daisy, Dapple & Bay: The story of our team of draft horses and how they pulled until they couldn’t,” “Maybe She Will, Maybe She Won’t: Our Jersey cow is crowned a bovine queen” and “The Green Geyser of Clallam County (or how we hosted a V.I.P.): A pungent story with much aroma….and how the father of a President visited Sequim.”
